Introduction to Jabra Plus device provisioning & onboarding

Jabra Plus is a complete ecosystem of interconnected digital touchpoints, delivering on desired business requirements, and designed to streamline the remote management of Jabra devices.

To provision Jabra personal and meeting room devices, or peripherals, the Jabra Plus Management platform uses software clients to establish a digital connection between an organization’s Jabra devices and the platform.

Jabra devices are provisioned to the platform via Jabra Plus software clients that are either built-into the device, must be downloaded from the platform, or by using a companion app. After provisioning, Jabra devices can be remotely managed through Jabra Plus Management.

Before you begin#

This guide is intended for an admin user or an audio-video installer (AV Installer) who would like to provision and onboard one or more Jabra meeting room or personal devices to the Jabra Plus Management platform.

Important note

To onboard Jabra devices, it is mandatory to have access to the platform, as generating and downloading a software client and/or getting the relevant provisioning codes requires admin user access with edit rights (i.e.: In the platform, you must be an organization owner, or a member with edit rights for personal or meeting room devices, respectively).

However, an admin user can instead delegate the installation of all Jabra meeting room and personal devices to an external party (e.g.: AV Installer) and to do so must provide the external party with the relevant software client(s) and/or provisioning code(s).

In this guide, “end users” refers to users whose Jabra personal devices are provisioned and managed in the Jabra Plus Management ecosystem. However, when this guide refers to “end user computer” it refers to a computer connected to a Jabra personal device.
